Get your Klq.to account running in just a few minutes. This guide will walk you through the essential steps to start managing redirects effectively.

Prerequisites

  • Email address for account creation
  • Access to your domain's DNS settings (optional for using klq.to subdomain)

Step 1: Create Your Account

  1. Go to klq.to/login
  2. Click "Create Account"
  3. Enter your email and create a password
  4. Verify your email address

Step 2: Choose Your Plan

Start with the Starter plan (free forever):

  • 10 redirects
  • 1 custom domain
  • 1,000 hits per month
  • 7-day analytics

You can upgrade anytime as your needs grow.

Step 3: Add Your Domain

Option A: Use klq.to Subdomain (Easiest)

Your account automatically includes a klq.to subdomain for testing.

Option B: Add Custom Domain

  1. Go to Account → Manage Domains
  2. Click "Add Domain"
  3. Enter your domain (e.g., yourdomain.com)
  4. Add DNS Records: 
    Type: CNAME
Name: @ (or your subdomain)
Value: go.klq.to
TTL: 300 (or default)
  5. Wait for DNS verification (usually < 5 minutes)

Step 4: Create Your First Redirect

  1. Navigate to Manage Links
  2. Click "Add Redirects"
  3. Enter redirect details: 
    Path: old-page
Destination: https://newsite.com/new-page
Type: 301 (Permanent)
  4. Click "Save"

Your redirect is now live at https://yourdomain.com/old-page!

Step 5: Test Your Redirect

  1. Open a browser
  2. Navigate to your redirect URL
  3. Verify it redirects correctly
  4. Check analytics after a few minutes

Step 6: View Analytics

Go to the Dashboard to see:

  • Total redirect hits
  • Date-based filtering options
  • Status-based traffic data
  • Export capabilities for analysis
